Dr. Rebecca Soares is a vitreoretinal surgeon dedicated to the medical and surgical care of retinal diseases, with a focus on compassionate, state-of-the-art treatment. She graduated summa cum laude from Yale University and earned her MD and MPH magna cum laude from Emory University School of Medicine. Her postgraduate training includes an internal medicine internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital, and a vitreoretinal surgical fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital Mid Atlantic Retina.

Dr. Soares specializes in managing conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, macular holes, macular puckers, and retinal detachments. She utilizes advanced therapies including anti-VEGF injections, laser procedures, and small-incision vitrectomy, aiming to combine technical excellence with clear patient communication and supportive follow-up.
