About Me
Dr. Vinicius De Stefano is a cornea, cataract, and refractive surgeon who cares for patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. As an assistant professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin, he pairs advanced surgical skill with a patient-centered approach—listening closely, explaining options clearly, and tailoring plans to each person’s goals. His clinical expertise includes cataract surgery (including laser-assisted techniques and advanced lens options), corneal cross-linking for keratoconus, corneal transplantation, and a full range of refractive procedures.
Dr. De Stefano earned his MD and PhD at the Federal University of São Paulo, where he also completed residency in ophthalmology and a fellowship in cataract and refractive surgery. He pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic and advanced cornea and refractive fellowship training at the Medical University of South Carolina. He subsequently completed additional residency training in ophthalmology and internal medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. De Stefano is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and is committed to making high-quality vision care accessible and comfortable for every patient.
