About Me
Dr. Kenneth Weinlander is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained cornea specialist who founded and serves as the medical director of Milwaukee Eye Surgeons. He brings experience from his previous faculty position at the Duke University Eye Center and is deeply involved in the ophthalmology community as a diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of several professional societies including the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Cornea Society, and the Refractive Surgery Alliance. Dr. Weinlander's commitment to advancing eye care is further demonstrated by his election as President of the Milwaukee Ophthalmology Society.
With a passion for education and research, Dr. Weinlander has taught advanced surgical techniques at eye centers around the world and has been invited to give numerous lectures. He has contributed to the field through publications in peer-reviewed journals such as Ophthalmology. His clinical expertise covers a wide range of conditions and treatments, with a particular focus on corneal and refractive surgery.
Dr. Weinlander completed his medical education at the Medical College of Wisconsin, followed by an internship at Columbia University and a residency at Wake Forest University where he served as chief resident. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in cornea, refractive, and external diseases at Wake Forest University.
