About Me
Dr. Nausheen Abbas is a board-certified ophthalmologist and corneal specialist. Her practice philosophy centers on providing patient-centered care, offering all available options while discussing the pros, cons, risks, benefits, and alternatives of each. She is committed to utilizing the latest cutting-edge technology and procedures.
Dr. Abbas earned her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed her ophthalmology residency at Yale University. She further specialized with a Cornea and External Disease fellowship in Albany, New York.
As a corneal specialist, Dr. Abbas treats a range of corneal disorders including keratoconus, Fuchs dystrophy, anterior segment pathology, and dry eye syndrome. She performs corneal transplants, pterygium excisions, and anterior segment procedures. Additionally, she provides comprehensive ophthalmologic care, including cataract surgery, lens implantation, laser treatments, intravitreal injections, and medical management of glaucoma, diabetes, and other eye conditions.
