About Me

David A. Levine, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the retina. He treats conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachment, and macular holes and epiretinal membranes. Dr. Levine completed his internship, ophthalmology residency and a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at Emory University, where he also contributed to peer-reviewed research and presented at national meetings. A native Floridian and third-generation physician, Dr. Levine graduated with honors from the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. He enjoys working closely with patients and referring doctors to deliver timely diagnostics, in-office treatments like anti-VEGF injections and laser, and advanced retinal surgery when needed—always with clear explanations and a steady, compassionate approach.
