About Me
Dr. Philip Laird is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery. He completed his medical education at the Mayo Clinic, where he received the Dean’s Award and a National Eye Institute research award. His advanced training includes an ophthalmology residency and a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at Emory University.
Dr. Laird is actively involved in clinical research, having published numerous manuscripts and book chapters in ophthalmology and retina. He serves as a reviewer for the American Journal of Ophthalmology and participates in multiple clinical trials, which helps bring the latest advancements in retinal care to his patients.
He is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Outside of medicine, Dr. Laird lives in Jupiter with his family and enjoys distance running and traveling.
