About Me
Dr. Adam Gerstenblith is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in diseases of the retina, macula, and vitreous. He provides comprehensive care for retinal conditions including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and complex retinal detachments. With extensive experience in vitreoretinal surgery, he has performed over 1,000 retinal surgeries during his training, focusing on advanced surgical techniques to preserve and restore vision.
Dr. Gerstenblith completed his medical education at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and further honed his skills at the renowned Wills Eye Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident and co-editor of the Wills Eye Manual. He is actively involved in clinical research, having authored numerous peer-reviewed papers and textbook chapters, and participates in clinical trials to bring the latest treatments to his patients.
As a dedicated retina specialist, Dr. Gerstenblith is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Medical Association.
