About Me
Jay Berdia, MD is a retina specialist who evaluates and treats a wide range of retina and macular disorders, including uveitis. He is especially interested in bringing new options to patients through clinical trials and innovative therapies for age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy.
Dr. Berdia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a focus in Neuroscience from Washington University in St. Louis and received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He completed an ophthalmology residency at Mt. Sinai Icahn School of Medicine at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, where he served as chief resident, and then pursued a fellowship in medical retina at Duke University. He is committed to clear communication, careful evaluation, and personalized care to protect vision over time.
