About Me
Dr. Zvi Kresch is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and clinical assistant professor at the University of Michigan Health's Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor. He is a Michigan native who earned his undergraduate degree in World Religions from the University of Michigan. Dr. Kresch is deeply committed to providing expert eye care and has a particular interest in uveitis, cataract surgery, and the management of glaucoma and diabetic eye disease.
Dr. Kresch completed medical school at Wayne State University and his ophthalmology residency at West Virginia University Eye Institute. He then pursued a uveitis and ocular immunology fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Kresch has also worked extensively with the Himalayan Cataract Project, performing hundreds of manual small-incision cataract surgeries and training local surgeons in Nepal, India, Ghana, and Ethiopia. He continues to engage in international teaching and surgical training.
In his practice, Dr. Kresch sees patients for a wide range of eye conditions, including uveitis, cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and common eyelid and conjunctival disorders. He is known for his thorough, compassionate approach and for taking time to listen to his patients' concerns. Outside of medicine, Dr. Kresch enjoys exploring Michigan with his family, playing chess and harmonica, and making fermented foods.
