Dr. Susan Elner is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Professor at the University of Michigan, specializing in the medical and surgical management of inflammatory eye diseases. She practices at the Retina & Uveitis Clinic within the Kellogg Eye Center, where she focuses on conditions such as uveitis, iritis, intermediate uveitis, panuveitis, retinal vasculitis, choroiditis, and cystoid macular edema.
Dr. Elner completed her medical degree and residency in ophthalmology at the University of Chicago, followed by a fellowship at Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary. Her extensive experience in both clinical care and research—studying mechanisms of ocular inflammation and angiogenesis—enables her to offer her patients cutting-edge, compassionate treatment.
