About Me
Dr. Shilpa Kodati is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in diseases of the retina and in inflammatory eye conditions. She sees patients in the Retina and Uveitis Clinic at the Kellogg Eye Center and helps diagnose and treat vision-threatening problems affecting the back of the eye, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, cystoid macular edema, and inherited retinal disease. She also cares for patients with conditions such as retinopathy of prematurity and retinoschisis.
Her advanced fellowship training includes vitreoretinal surgery as well as ocular immunology and uveitis. Dr. Kodati partners closely with patients to review imaging, explain treatment options, and tailor a plan that supports long-term visual function and quality of life.
