Dr. Vaidehi Dedania

Dr. Vaidehi S. Dedania chose to practice ophthalmology early in her medical career, developing a passion for vitreoretinal surgery through clinical and operating room experiences. She understands that improving vision and preventing blindness can have a profound and lasting impact on quality of life. She specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of adult and pediatric retinal disorders, including diabetic eye disease, retinal vascular occlusions, age-related macular degeneration, retinal detachments, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, uveitis, and ocular trauma in adults. For children, she manages conditions such as retinopathy of prematurity, familial exudative vitreoretinopathy, Coats disease, coloboma, retinal detachment, ocular trauma, congenital retinoschisis, and persistent fetal vasculature.

At NYU Langone, Dr. Dedania collaborates with world-renowned specialists in endocrinology, infectious diseases, neonatology, obstetrics-gynecology, and rheumatology to provide comprehensive care.
