About Me
Dr. Rohan Jalalizadeh is a vitreoretinal surgeon who cares for patients with a wide range of retinal disorders, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and retinal detachment. He is passionate about advancing eye care through clinical research and has authored peer-reviewed publications, edited academic texts, and presented his work at national retina meetings. At Retinal Consultants of Arizona, he also serves as a sub-investigator on clinical trials for conditions such as AMD and diabetic macular edema, helping bring new therapies to patients.
Dr. Jalalizadeh graduated summa cum laude and valedictorian in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis (2012), completed medical school at Washington University (2016), and an internship at Saint Louis University. He trained in ophthalmology at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center and completed a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at The Retina Institute in St. Louis. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is active in the American Society of Retina Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
