About Me
Dr. Peter Y. Chang is a retina and uveitis specialist who cares for patients with complex inflammatory eye disease and conditions that affect the retina and vitreous. He treats problems such as uveitis, scleritis, autoimmune retinopathy, retinal tears and detachments, macular holes and epiretinal membranes, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, and age-related macular degeneration. He also manages routine and complex cataracts and complications involving intraocular lenses.
Born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, Dr. Chang moved to the United States as a teenager and now considers New England his second home. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brown University and his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed a clinical research fellowship in uveitis and ocular immunology at MERSI, ophthalmology residency training at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, and vitreoretinal surgery fellowship training at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary.
