About Me
Dr. Mohannad Al-Samarraie is a pediatric ophthalmologist who cares for children and adults with strabismus as well as the full range of pediatric eye conditions. His clinical interests include amblyopia, congenital and acquired strabismus, nystagmus, Duane syndrome, congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction, pediatric cataract and glaucoma, eye movement disorders, and vision problems related to genetic conditions. He is known for a friendly, patient-centered manner and a commitment to education and outreach.
Dr. Al-Samarraie completed medical school at the University of Baghdad and pursued subspecialty fellowships at Johns Hopkins University, Henry Ford Hospital, and Children’s National Medical Center. He is active in professional societies including AAPOS and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
