About Me
Dr. Silverstein specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. He offers procedures including dry eye and tear solutions, pediatric eye care, removal of cysts or pimples on the eyelid, and strabismus surgery. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at VCU and is a member of professional organizations such as the Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Virginia Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
His educational background includes earning a dual-degree from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he received a Canby Robinson Scholarship, and completing an internship in internal medicine and a residency in ophthalmology at Vanderbilt University. He further specialized with a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at Duke University Eye Center.
