About Me
Dr. Michael D. Henry is a board-certified cataract and glaucoma surgeon who offers the full spectrum of modern glaucoma care alongside advanced cataract surgery. In addition to medications and lasers, he performs minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS) as well as traditional procedures when needed, and he tailors premium lens choices to each patient’s visual goals. Patients value his careful listening, plain-language guidance, and the time he spends aligning surgical plans with lifestyle and safety.
Dr. Henry received his MD from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed ophthalmology residency at Loyola University Medical Center and Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, followed by a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he also served as a clinical instructor. He has published and presented nationally and has participated in clinical research focused on improving glaucoma outcomes.
