About Me
Dr. Jeff S. Maltzman is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in small-incision cataract surgery and the medical management of glaucoma. He has been practicing in Tucson since 2002 and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Maltzman holds memberships in several professional societies including the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Glaucoma Society, and the Chandler-Grant Glaucoma Society.
He received his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey- Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Maltzman then pursued a glaucoma fellowship with Tufts/New England Eye Center and the Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. In addition to his clinical practice, he serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Arizona School of Medicine.
Dr. Maltzman is a past president of the Arizona Society of Eye Physicians & Surgeons and has served on several committees of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also an emeritus member of the American Eye Study Club. Outside of medicine, he enjoys landscape and nature photography, with his work frequently featured in Arizona Highways magazine.
