About Me
Dr. Jason D. Jensen is a glaucoma specialist who enjoys caring for patients across the full spectrum of glaucoma and cataract disease. He combines careful diagnosis, individualized medical therapy, and timely surgery when indicated, and he takes time to explain findings so patients understand their options and feel supported. His friendly, down-to-earth style helps patients and families feel at ease throughout treatment.
Dr. Jensen comes from the small farming community of Richfield, Utah. He received his bachelor’s degree in Biology at Utah Valley University and worked for an ophthalmologist as a technician, which sparked his interest in eye care. He then attended medical school at the University of Utah and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Throughout his training, he was actively engaged in research involving cataract surgery, ocular trauma, and education through social media. He fell in love with glaucoma and went on to complete a Glaucoma Fellowship at West Virginia University. Dr. Jensen loves taking care of each individual and forming lasting bonds with his patients, treating each one like family.
Outside of clinic, Dr. Jensen is married to his high school sweetheart and they have four children. He enjoys coaching sports, attending his children's dance competitions, and exploring the beautiful outdoor landscapes of Tucson.
