Dr. Michael De Guzman

Dr. Michael de Guzman is a board-certified, fellowship-trained glaucoma and cataract surgeon dedicated to helping people protect the sight they rely on every day. Born in Chicago and raised in Grayslake, he completed medical training at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, ophthalmology residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Queens—where he served as chief resident—and a glaucoma subspecialty fellowship at the Storm Eye Institute of the Medical University of South Carolina. He cares for the full spectrum of glaucoma, from early detection to complex surgical management, and performs modern cataract surgery tailored to each person’s goals.
