About Me

Marybeth C. Farazdaghi, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. She provides comprehensive eye care for both children and adults, treating conditions such as amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (eye misalignment), cataracts, retinopathy of prematurity, tearing issues, and optic neuropathies. Dr. Farazdaghi also assists adult patients experiencing double vision and strabismus.

With fellowship training from the Mayo Clinic, she is an assistant professor in the Ruiz Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Her clinical and research interests extend to thyroid eye disease, advanced surgical techniques for strabismus, and promoting sustainability in clinical practices. She has received awards for resident research and excellence in mentorship.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Farazdaghi enjoys staying active and exploring the outdoors with her husband and two children. She is accepting new patients and sees both pediatric and adult cases at the Robert Cizik Eye Clinic in Houston.
