Dr. Jara Crear

Dr. Jara Crear is a fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist who also cares for adults with strabismus. Her practice spans the full range of children’s eye conditions, from amblyopia and nasolacrimal duct obstruction to pediatric cataracts and glaucoma, with both medical and surgical solutions tailored to each family’s needs. She is active in professional organizations and enjoys mentoring future ophthalmologists.

Dr. Crear completed ophthalmology residency and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the University of Michigan’s Kellogg Eye Center after earning her M.D. from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She also completed dual undergraduate degrees at Brown in Biomedical Engineering and Economics. Her patient-care philosophy is attentive, personalized, and rooted in respect for each child’s background and needs.
