About Me
Dr. Bhatt is a pediatric ophthalmologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine. His clinical practice is based at Texas Children's Hospital, where he specializes in the medical and surgical care of children's eye conditions and adult strabismus.
Dr. Bhatt's research focuses on retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), with a particular interest in the role of VEGF-inhibitors for treating severe cases. He leads the ROP screening programs for the neonatal intensive care units at Texas Children's Hospital and Ben Taub General Hospital. He also heads the hospital's Emergency and Inpatient Pediatric Ophthalmology consultation service.
