Meet Dr. Lisa Sitterson
About Me
Dr. Lisa V. Sitterson is a board-certified ophthalmologist with specialized training in cornea, refractive surgery, and external disease. Her medical education was completed at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, followed by a comprehensive three-year residency in ophthalmology at the Storm Eye Institute, Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. To further specialize, she undertook a fellowship at Tufts University and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, concentrating on cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery.
As a dedicated eye care professional, Dr. Sitterson is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Her language skills in German and Spanish enhance her ability to connect with patients from various backgrounds. Outside of her practice, she leads an active life, enjoying running, triathlon competitions, scuba diving, and skiing, which underscores her commitment to health and wellness.
