Dr. Lena Chen is an ophthalmologist at the WVU Eye Institute who cares for adults with cataract and corneal disease as well as inflammatory conditions of the front of the eye. She earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate in 2018, completed a preliminary internal medicine year at Staten Island University Hospital in 2019, and finished ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 2022. She then completed fellowship training at West Virginia University School of Medicine and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Chen treats a range of conditions, including cataracts, dry eye disease, keratoconus, pterygium, corneal ulcers, conjunctivitis, and anterior uveitis, and performs corneal transplantation when appropriate.
