Dr. Kumar Sambhav

Dr. Kumar Sambhav is a retina specialist who cares for both adults and children with medical and surgical diseases of the back of the eye. His clinical expertise includes management of age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, repair of retinal detachments and macular holes, treatment of epiretinal membranes, and advanced vitreoretinal surgery. He also manages inflammatory and traumatic eye conditions, offering individualized plans that balance safety, vision, and recovery.

Dr. Sambhav completed medical school at Kasturba Medical College and ophthalmology residencies at Government Medical College–Mysore and the University of Florida College of Medicine–Jacksonville. He pursued fellowships at LV Prasad Eye Institute, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, and the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Drawing on broad training and experience, he emphasizes careful diagnosis, clear explanations, and collaborative decision-making to help patients and families navigate retinal disease with confidence.
