Dr. James Weisz

Dr. James M. Weisz is a board-certified ophthalmologist providing care at Connecticut Retina Consultants. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal and uveitic diseases and actively participates in clinical research to advance care for these conditions. Dr. Weisz offers comprehensive eye care with a focus on medical and surgical management of retinal disorders.

Dr. Weisz graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College with Phi Beta Kappa honors and earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA, followed by a fellowship in uveitis and additional specialty training in medical and surgical retinal diseases at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins. His training included recognition as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and recipient of the Sandoz Award and the Edith and Denton McKane Memorial Award for outstanding scholarship and research.
