Dr. Gowtham Jonna

Dr. Gowtham Jonna is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in medical and surgical retina care. He provides comprehensive retinal and vitreous treatments for conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and uveitis. Dr. Jonna practices at Retina Consultants of Austin, serving patients in Austin, Lakeway, Marble Falls, and Round Rock, Texas.

Dr. Jonna completed his medical degree at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He then pursued an internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, focusing on retinoblastoma research, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he was elected chief resident. His training culminated in a retinal surgery fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
