About Me
Saradha Chexal, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in vitreoretinal diseases at Retina Consultants of Austin. Dr. Chexal offers patient-centered eye care to patients in Austin, Lakeway, Marble Falls, and Round Rock, Texas.
Dr. Chexal was raised in Boca Raton, Florida. She earned her bachelor’s degrees in microbiology and chemistry at the University of Florida in only three years. She then moved to New York, where she completed her medical school training at the New York Medical College.
Following her medical school education, she pursued her residency training at the University of South Florida, and received the honor of serving as chief resident during her time there. After her residency, she received retinal fellowship training at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Stein Eye Institute. At Retinal Consultants of Austin, Dr. Chexal specializes in vitreoretinal surgery and has advanced training in hereditary eye conditions.
