About Me

Erol E. Verter, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a focus on medical and surgical retina. He cares for patients with macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachment, macular holes and epiretinal membranes, and retinal vein occlusions. Dr. Verter trained at Boston University School of Medicine, completed internship at Mount Auburn Hospital, and ophthalmology residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, followed by fellowship training at New England Retina Associates. He offers advanced office-based treatments such as anti-VEGF injections and laser therapy and performs vitreoretinal surgery when needed. Dr. Verter works in close coordination with primary care and referring eye doctors, prioritizing timely access, careful imaging-guided diagnosis and clear guidance so patients understand each step of care.
