Dr. Scott Walter

Dr. Matthew Nicholas is a vitreoretinal physician focused on the medical management of retinal disease. He completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Rochester Flaum Eye Institute, followed by a medical retina fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute. Dr. Nicholas earned his MD and PhD through the Medical Scientist Training Program at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine after studying physics at Yale College. In clinic, he treats macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, vascular occlusions, central serous chorioretinopathy, retinal tears, and uveitis, and also manages cataracts and glaucoma when they coexist with retinal disease. He emphasizes thorough exams, plain-language education, and treatment plans that balance effectiveness and convenience.

Dr. Jennifer Nadelmann is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon at Connecticut Retina Consultants. She cares for the full spectrum of medical and surgical retina conditions, including retinal detachment, macular disorders, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal vascular disease. Dr. Nadelmann performs the full range of retina procedures and prioritizes clear communication so patients understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and expected recovery.Dr. Nadelmann received her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed an internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, ophthalmology residency at the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, and fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine/New York Presbyterian Hospital. She has authored book chapters and peer-reviewed publications and is an active member of national ophthalmology societies. Dr. Greg Budoff is a vitreoretinal surgeon who treats the full spectrum of retinal disease—from urgent issues like retinal detachment and vitreous hemorrhage to chronic conditions such as macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease. He also has a particular interest in complex retinal detachment repair and secondary IOL surgeries. Dr. Budoff completed a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery and medical retina at the UCLA – Jules Stein Eye Institute after ophthalmology residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where he was selected chief resident. He earned his MD at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He offers evidence-based treatment and close follow-up to help patients understand choices such as injections, laser, or surgery and what recovery typically requires.
