About Me
Dilru Amarasekera, MD, is a glaucoma specialist whose work bridges hands-on patient care with outcomes-focused research. At Wills Eye Hospital she serves as a Clinical Instructor in Ophthalmology for Sidney Kimmel Medical College and investigates risk factors for glaucoma development and progression using large data registries. Her scholarly interests include surgical outcomes after filtering procedures and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery as well as harmonizing glaucoma testing data across systems. She has presented and published on topics ranging from angle-closure and surgical techniques to trends in authorship and representation in ophthalmology.
