About Me
Dr. Daniel E. Neely is an internationally recognized expert in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus, the misalignment of the eyes. He serves as the team ophthalmologist for the Indianapolis Colts football organization and is a volunteer consultant for Orbis International, a global organization that teaches eye care teams in low- and middle-income countries. Dr. Neely has been named an Indiana Top Doctor by Indianapolis Monthly Magazine every year since 2012.
Dr. Neely's clinical practice encompasses the full scope of pediatric eye care, including the diagnosis and management of refractive errors (nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism), amblyopia (lazy eye), and strabismus through both surgical and nonsurgical treatments. He also specializes in pediatric cataracts and intraocular lens implants, pediatric glaucoma, retinoblastoma, hemangiomas, eyelid surgeries (ptosis), dermoids, and retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). In addition to his patient care, Dr. Neely is dedicated to educating the next generation of eye care providers, teaching residents and fellows at Indiana University, and volunteering with Orbis International's Cybersight Telemedicine Program, which he helps to direct.
