Dr. Heather Smith

Dr. Heather Smith is a pediatric ophthalmologist and Associate Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology with deep roots in Indianapolis. She completed her undergraduate degree at IUPUI, then attended Indiana University School of Medicine for medical school and residency. She further specialized with a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Riley Hospital for Children.

Upon completing her training, Dr. Smith joined the Department of Ophthalmology as a faculty member. She now works at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health, where she cares for children with a wide range of vision and eye disorders. She is dedicated to helping patients every day and emphasizes the importance of hard work and putting patients first in her practice and teaching.
