Dr. Zachary Bodnar

Dr. Charles Calvo is a retina specialist who cares for patients with medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous. A Nevada native, he completed his undergraduate training in biology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), earned his medical degree at the University of Nevada, Reno, and trained in ophthalmology at Wills Eye Hospital, where he served as co-chief resident. After residency, Dr. Calvo cared for patients at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center, an experience that strengthened his commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered eye care. He then completed a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the University of Utah’s Moran Eye Center, where he was recognized as Fellow of the Year and received a travel grant for work in pediatric retina. Dr. Calvo returned home to Southern Nevada and has been caring for patients in the Las Vegas community since 2019, focusing on clear communication and long-term relationships.

Dr. Spencer D. Fuller is a vitreoretinal surgeon at HD Retina Eye Center. He provides medical and surgical care for macular disease, retinal tears and detachments, diabetic retinopathy, uveitis, and inherited retinal disorders. Patients describe him as thoughtful and detail-oriented, with a clear, compassionate approach to discussing images and outlining treatment choices. Dr. Fuller completed ophthalmology residency at Washington University in St. Louis and a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the Moran Eye Center, where he earned a VitreoRetinal Surgery Foundation research award. He also holds an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and serves as adjunct faculty, reflecting his commitment to education and population-focused eye care. He works closely with referring providers to deliver timely, individualized care in Northern Nevada.

Dr. Par is a fellowship-trained, board-certified vitreoretinal specialist who provides advanced medical and surgical retina care. He has been caring for ophthalmology patients since 2011 and focuses on helping people understand their diagnosis and feel confident in a clear, step-by-step treatment plan. He earned a B.A. in Biochemistry at New York University and completed medical school at New York University School of Medicine, including research honors with a focus on retinal disease. After completing ophthalmology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, Dr. Par pursued a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Rush University Medical Center/Illinois Retina Associates. His work includes both office-based treatments and complex vitreoretinal surgery, and he has a strong interest in retinal imaging and innovative surgical techniques. Dr. Par is committed to delivering personalized care and helping patients protect vision through evidence-based, thoughtful decision-making.
