Dr. Claudia Krispel

Dr. Claudia Krispel is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist who serves as the Medical Director at Meadows Eye Physicians & Surgeons. She founded the practice in 2015 with a commitment to prioritizing patient care and delivering excellent medical treatment along with exceptional customer service. Her patient-centered approach has helped grow the practice and attract top eye physicians and surgeons to the team.

Dr. Krispel completed both her M.D. and Ph.D. at the University of California, Davis, as part of the Physician Scientist Training Program. Her doctoral research focused on photoreceptors, the light-sensitive cells in the retina, which ignited her passion for retinal care. She then remained at UC Davis for her ophthalmology residency and went on to complete a prestigious retina fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University. There, she received advanced training in medical retina, surgical retina, and uveitis.

She is an active member of the American Society for Retina Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Krispel is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is fluent in English, German, and Spanish.
