Dr. Walter Parker

Dr. Walter T. Parker is a cornea and anterior segment specialist with additional expertise in refractive surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma procedures. He performs the most current corneal surgeries—including endothelial, penetrating, and deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty—as well as complex cataract surgery with premium and astigmatism-correcting lenses. Patients value his careful listening and focus on individual goals for clear, comfortable vision.

An Alabama native, Dr. Parker earned his MD from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed internship at Baptist Health Systems in Birmingham. He trained in ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine/Cullen Eye Institute, serving as chief resident, and completed the Lindstrom Fellowship at Minnesota Eye Consultants in Cornea, Cataract, External Disease, Refractive Surgery, and Glaucoma. His recognitions include the ASCRS Foundation Resident Excellence Award and the Steven N. Schindler, MD Award.
