About Me
Dr. Thomas Chu is an internationally recognized clinician, scientist, and surgeon specializing in the management of complicated retinal diseases. He earned his medical degree and a doctorate in biochemistry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, following an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Brown University.
Dr. Chu completed his residency at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Harvard University, and a retina fellowship at the Doheny Eye Institute at USC. He has held academic positions at USC and UC Davis. Dr. Chu's research interests include macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, uveitis, and retinal detachment, and he treats a broad range of retinal conditions.
