About Me
Dr. Sara Haug is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of retinal conditions. She completed her residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and a two-year vitreoretinal surgical fellowship in San Francisco, focusing on complex retinal diseases. Dr. Haug treats a wide range of retinal disorders, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and macular holes.
With a PhD in biomedical engineering and a strong research background, Dr. Haug brings a scientific and innovative approach to patient care. She has served as an investigator for numerous national clinical trials and has published extensively in the field. Dr. Haug is committed to providing comprehensive retinal care, from advanced surgical interventions to ongoing management of chronic conditions.
Dr. Haug is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retinal Specialists. She sees patients in Durango, Colorado, and is dedicated to helping her patients preserve and improve their vision.
