Dr. Sandra Hu-Torres

Dr. Sandra Hu-Torres is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract and glaucoma care. She works with patients to diagnose eye disease early, slow vision loss, and choose the most appropriate treatment—whether that is medication, laser therapy, or surgery.

Dr. Hu-Torres earned her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and completed ophthalmology residency training at New York Medical College/Westchester Medical Center. She then completed a Glaucoma Fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear/Harvard Medical School, with advanced training in both traditional and minimally invasive glaucoma procedures.

Her clinical focus includes cataract surgery, glaucoma evaluation and monitoring, and a range of surgical options such as Omni viscocanaloplasty, Hydrus microstent placement, trabeculectomy, XEN gel stent, and tube shunt surgery.
