About Me
Dr. Samuel Long is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract and refractive surgery. His clinical practice encompasses a variety of advanced eye procedures aimed at improving vision and managing eye conditions.
He is proficient in laser-assisted cataract surgery with premium intraocular lens upgrades, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), YAG laser posterior capsulotomy, selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT), iridotomy, pterygium excision, and laser vision correction including LASIK, PRK, phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK), and corneal cross-linking (CXL). Dr. Long is also certified in implantable collamer lens (EVO ICL) procedures.
Dr. Long is affiliated with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and holds certifications as an EVO ICL Certified Surgeon and on EX-500 and FS-200 laser systems. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, a transitional residency in Tucson, Arizona, and earned his medical degree and bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas.
