Dr. Salwa Aziz is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained Glaucoma Specialist who provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on restoring and preserving vision. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of both simple and complex cataracts and glaucoma, offering personalized treatment plans for conditions such as ocular hypertension, primary open angle glaucoma, narrow angles, primary angle-closure glaucoma, and secondary glaucoma. Her approach includes medical management, laser therapies, and advanced surgical options to achieve the best outcomes for her patients.
Dr. Aziz earned her Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees from the University of Utah, completed her residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and pursued a specialized fellowship in Glaucoma at the renowned Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona, where she has been dedicated to serving the Tucson community's eye care needs for over five years. Her extensive training and academic role ensure that she stays at the forefront of ophthalmological advancements.
As an active member of the American Glaucoma Society and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Aziz is committed to excellence in patient care.
