About Me
Dr. Saagar A. Pandit is a vitreoretinal surgeon who treats the full range of retinal disease with a steady, education-first approach. He makes complex topics understandable, reviews imaging together with patients, and discusses choices—from observation to injections, laser, or surgery—so people can participate fully in their care. His goal is to maximize vision while minimizing treatment burden whenever possible.
Dr. Pandit received his MD from the University of Connecticut and completed ophthalmology residency at New York University, followed by a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital. He also earned an MPH at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. In practice he manages age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments and tears, macular holes and puckers, and other complex vitreoretinal conditions.
