About Me
Dr. Frank P. LaFranco is a retina surgeon with a focus on diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous. He is board certified in ophthalmology and serves as an Associate Professor at Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. LaFranco has extensive experience in teaching, having served as Chief of the Division of Ophthalmology and Director of Resident Education at Evanston Hospital for two decades. He remains actively involved in training through Northwestern’s Vitreoretinal Fellowship program.
With a career spanning decades, Dr. LaFranco has presented at over thirty national and international conferences on retinal topics and is a member of the permanent faculty for the International Tubingen Retinal Detachment courses. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Illinois Association of Ophthalmology, and Chicago Ophthalmology Society.
