About Me
Ruchita Doshi Amin, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in medical retina care. She completed her undergraduate degree with honors in Biology at Miami University and earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Amin then completed an ophthalmology residency at Rush University Medical Center, where she served as chief resident, followed by a medical retina fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Amin is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retinal Specialists, and Women in Retina. She is also a member of the American Medical Association and the American Medical Women’s Association, reflecting her dedication to advancing eye care and supporting women in medicine.
Dr. Amin provides comprehensive retina care for patients in Illinois and Indiana, with a focus on conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachments, macular edema, and uveitis. She is committed to delivering personalized, state-of-the-art treatments to preserve and improve her patients' vision.
