About Me
Dr. Roma Pegany is a cornea and external disease specialist at the Casey Eye Institute. She diagnoses and treats conditions that affect the cornea and ocular surface, offering medical therapies as well as surgical options such as corneal transplantation and laser vision correction. Her clinical interests include infectious and inflammatory corneal disease, and she is committed to patient education so people understand their diagnosis and choices at every step.
Dr. Pegany earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley and her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, followed by fellowship training in Cornea, External Diseases and Refractive Surgery at the Casey Eye Institute, where she received the Fellow of the Year award. She later served on the faculty at the University of California, San Francisco before returning to OHSU. Dr. Pegany values collaborative, compassionate care grounded in the latest science.
