Dr. Ayesha Badar is a board-certified ophthalmologist who cares for adults with glaucoma and other complex eye conditions at Loyola Medicine. Dr. Jessica Minjy Kang is a glaucoma specialist at Northwestern Medicine who cares for adults with the full spectrum of glaucoma and cataract concerns. She partners closely with patients to explain findings clearly, review options, and build treatment plans that fit individual goals and lifestyles. Her practice spans laser therapy, minimally invasive approaches, and complex glaucoma surgeries, and she also performs cataract surgery for patients who may benefit from vision improvement alongside glaucoma management. Dr. Kang earned her MD from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and went on to additional fellowship training at Duke University Hospital. Dr. Frini A. Makadia is a glaucoma specialist at Wheaton Eye Clinic who cares for adults with the full spectrum of glaucoma and cataract disease. She combines careful longitudinal monitoring with tailored treatments, offering medical therapy, office-based lasers such as selective laser trabeculoplasty and laser peripheral iridotomy, and a full range of surgical options—from minimally invasive glaucoma surgery to trabeculectomy and glaucoma drainage devices. She also performs routine and complex cataract surgery and helps patients choose lens options that fit their visual goals. Dr. Makadia graduated with distinction from Duke University with a BS in Chemistry (biochemistry concentration) and earned her MD cum laude at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed internship at The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt Eye Institute—where she received the Benchmark Award for Clinical & Surgical Excellence—and fellowship training at The Ohio State Haevner Eye Institute focused on glaucoma. Active in research and education, she has published and presented at national meetings and enjoys partnering with patients to find practical, lasting solutions.
