Dr. Hreem Patel

Dr. Hreem N. Patel is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of glaucoma. She also cares for patients with cataracts, complex cataracts, diabetic eye disease, and other disorders of the eye. Dr. Patel joined University Ophthalmology Associates in 2018 and provides care in Chicago.

Dr. Patel earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis, completed medical school at Emory University School of Medicine, and trained in ophthalmology at Rush University Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident. She then completed a glaucoma fellowship at the Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Patel teaches future ophthalmologists and participates in outreach efforts to improve access to ophthalmic care.
