Dr. Omar Faridi

Dr. Omar Faridi is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who completed advanced fellowship training in glaucoma and cataract surgery. He specializes in micro-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) and advanced technology intraocular lens implants (IOLs), utilizing the latest techniques including the OMNI Surgical System, Hydrus Microstent, Xen Gel Stent, and iStent trabecular micro-bypass system to provide minimally invasive options for his patients.

Dr. Faridi focuses on the medical, laser, and surgical management of glaucoma, including complex cases, and performs state-of-the-art laser-assisted cataract surgery. He also provides comprehensive eye care for adults and adolescents, including routine and emergency eye exams, annual check-ups, and diabetic eye evaluations.

After earning his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Faridi completed his ophthalmology residency at William Beaumont Hospital, where he served as chief resident, followed by a glaucoma fellowship at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He joined Eye Physicians & Surgeons in 2012 and maintains an active role in clinical research and academic instruction as a Clinical Instructor at Yale University School of Medicine.
