Dr. Noreen Shaikh

Shravan V. Savant, MD is a retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon dedicated to preserving and restoring sight for patients with medical and surgical retinal disease. Dr. Savant completed residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, where he was selected as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Beth Israel Lahey Health/Boston Children’s Hospital. He earned his medical degree through Drexel University’s accelerated BS/MD program and has presented research at national and regional retina meetings. Dr. Sanjai Jalaj is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery. Dr. Jalaj also performs state-of-the-art corneal transplantation, including DMEK, and offers customized LASIK/PRK and crosslinking strategies for keratoconus. Joseph (“Jamie”) Raevis, MD, is a vitreoretinal surgeon at Monmouth Retina, caring for patients in Little Silver and across Monmouth County. A summa cum laude graduate of The College of New Jersey, he earned his medical degree from Georgetown University. Dr. Raevis completed ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate, where he served as chief resident, followed by a vitreoretinal fellowship at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Before joining Monmouth Retina, he directed vitreoretinal surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and served as a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Raevis manages the full range of medical and surgical retinal disease, from intravitreal injections to complex retinal detachment repair, and he enjoys teaching patients what to expect every step of the way. Outside of work, he spends time with family and enjoys hiking, camping, rock climbing, canoeing, and astronomy.
